The tastiest experience I came to have in San Juan. Zeneida herself attended to me. She first served me a delicious Salcocho and the next day I tried the popular Mondongo again accompanied with white rice and avocado. I already know where to go for lunch when I get back. And the best price is RD170 pesos for the broths.

If you go to San Juan de la Maguana you must stop by and eat there. Of course, you must arrive before lunch time because it fills up with customers. There you can find the famous San Juan Chechen, stewed goat, pork and chicken. Roasted and fried chicken and some delicious fried greens. They have rice, beans and motorcycles. The location is excellent, but as I said, parking is difficult at midday. The service is very good. The place is very clean and has tables inside. There are two places, one in front of the other.
